HERO12 Black

The HERO12 Black now adds HDR (high dynamic range) to its 5.3K60 video capture, meaning your footage will feature even more nuanced, detailed imagery. A boost in battery life enables more than an hour of continuous recording (70 minutes), which is twice the length of earlier models. And to help produce smooth video playback even when dealing with rough terrain, the rugged, waterproof HERO12 Black incorporates advanced HyperSmooth 6.0 image stabilization.

HERO12 Black Creator Edition

Ideal for vlogging, filmmaking, and livestreaming, the HERO12 Black Creator Edition provides several additional features in addition to the basic HERO12 Black functions. This all-in-one, content-creation powerhouse features enhanced audio, the ability to add an external microphone, and the option to refine your lighting with the addition of an LED light.

Max Lens Mod 2.0

Add the Max Lens Mod 2.0 to transform your HERO12 Black into a POV-type camera with dramatically wider fields of view for horizontal and vertical capture. Use for up to UHD 4K60 recording.

Extension Pole + Waterproof Remote

Go ahead, play the tourist or grab eye-catching high- or low-mode shots using the new GoPro Extension Pole with Waterproof Shutter Remote. Extending from a petite 10" to a lengthy 48", this new extension pole is long and light. The shutter remote works with HERO12 and HERO11 Black cameras, while HERO11 Black Mini, HERO10 Black, and MAX compatibility is coming soon.

Yes please to new battery life! And log recording sounds great. I'm curious what bit rate options there are, perhaps one day we'll see ProRes from a GoPro.

Hi Chad -

No Pro Res yet.

10 -bit recording is available.

Video Format:

5312 x 2988 at 60 fps (MP4 via H.265/HEVC)
3840 x 2160 at 100/120 fps (MP4 via H.265/HEVC)
2704 x 1520 at 200/240 fps (MP4 via H.265/HEVC)
1920 x 1080p at 200/240 fps (MP4 via H.265/HEVC)

I thought this came out last year, oh wait, this one has blue paint specks on it so it's new.  Maybe the next one will have a larger sensor...

Unless the new GoPro has live view to a phone or tablet, it is a no Go…Pro.

Does it show the image during recording?

Hi Chad -

The image is displayed while recording.
