VariZoom introduced its new StealthyGo Stabilizer for GoPro and other sub-2-lb cameras, at NAB 2014. The lightweight stabilizer also functions as a monopod, a three-point shooter, and a tabletop tripod. It can be used as a "selfie" pole, too. For travel convenience, it collapses into its own handle. VariZoom president Tom McKay operates a StealthyGo GoPro rig and shares footage from the stabilizer, in the accompanying video. In this video, Mia McCormick, of KelbyOne Media, reviews three stabilizers for GoPro HERO action cameras. Two of these traditional mechanical systems never run out of battery power—the Steadicam Curve and the Glide Gear Cellfie, as well as a brushless motorized option, the Sync Technology Adventure. The two mechanical systems are great for that “drifting through space” look, while the motorized model enables the freedom of handheld shooting without the hand shake.
