Returning for its fifth consecutive year, OPTIC 2019 was the best OPTIC yet! With our planet's environment changing at a rapid rate, the discussion was more poignant than ever. The four-day imaging event explored the inspiration, techniques, and equipment essential to capturing the great outdoors—with an emphasis on conservation. Carissa "Car" Pelleteri is a portrait photographer and author. A born-and-raised New Yorker, while growing up in Brooklyn, Car started shooting portraits of herself and her friends at the tender age of ten. From her friendships and life in the city, Car is drawn to raw and candid subjects for their honesty and authenticity. She also has a love for the ocean and its surrounding landscapes. Her first book, titled Surf+Turf:Montauk, was released in 2014. A second exploration, Montauk 11954, is a new release by Schiffer Publishing. Learn More > http://carpelleteri.com/   ß NOT SECURE!!
