The tag team of B&H’s Jake Estes, and Ryan Avery, from Tokina, discuss the new Tokina Vista One and Vista Prime lenses, at NAB 2019. The aptly named Vista series covers not only full frame but up to VistaVision and 65mm sensors, and boasts cine-standard gearing, minimal or no aberration, and a fast T1.5 maximum aperture across the six-lens set. Steven Gladstone, of B&H, and Paul Cousins, of Schneider Optics, are reviewing lenses that were announced at NAB 2014. Schneider Optics introduced two new wide, fast cine lenses: the Xenon 18mm T2.4 full-frame lens (available in EF, F, and PL mounts) and the Super 35-format Cine-Xenar III 14mm T2.2 lens (PL and EF versions). Prime lenses are probably one of the currently most-watched categories in the world of cinematography. Check out the test footage at the end of the video. Here's a quick look at some of the new cine lenses showcased at NAB 2018. Many of the top manufacturers, including ARRI, Canon, and Angenieux, displayed a wide range of cinema lenses — from entire new lines of primes to impressive anamorphic zoom lenses. It’s exciting to see that there are even more cinematic lens options available than ever before.
