This new lens boasts an ultra-wide field of view that is well-suited for content creators and vloggers. With 4.5 stops of optical vibration reduction, it promises to deliver steadier videos, sharper photos, and enhanced performance in low light.

This will be especially handy for Z series cameras that do not have in-body image stabilization.

Also notable is the Power Zoom function, which encompasses 11 zoom speeds for users to choose from. Ranging from slow and steady to blistering fast, creators can experiment with whisper-quiet zooms for dramatic effect.

Zooming is controlled on the lens itself, via the camera's magnification buttons, or remotely with separately available accessories.

With focusing as close as 11 inches, you can get up close and personal to your subject. Better still, the lens's compact form makes it easy to take anywhere. Small, lightweight, and quiet, the NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR promises to become an important addition to your kit.

I sent an email to Nikon 2 years ago suggesting development of this type of lens with a power zoom. They said their R&D department would consider it. I guess they sometimes listen.
