Leica Q (Typ 116): Hands-On Review

08/03/2015Link7

In the following video, Allan Weitz walks us through his experience with Leica’s incredible full-frame point-and-shoot, the Q (Typ 116) digital camera. Introducing us to Leica’s classic design, Allan gives us a tour of its simple aesthetics and superb handling, including the 3.68MP EVF. The video details the versatility of the optically-stabilized Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH lens and its ability to electronically crop to 35 and 50mm fields of view. In addition, Allan discusses the combination of a 24MP CMOS sensor and the Maestro II image processor that gives users the ability to shoot at ISOs up to 50,000, record full HD video at 60p, and shoot stills up to 10 fps. We hope that you enjoy the video and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos on B&H.com.

Availability???  Sometime around the next passing of Halley's Comet.

;)  Hopefully we will see them much sooner.

It sure would be nice if someone had these for sale.

We're as excited as you are to receive them, unfortunately Leica has not indicated when we can expect the next shipment of the camera.  We will post an update on its product link as soon as we here anything from them.
