CamRanger

In the following video, Larry Becker discusses the CamRanger Wi-Fi Remote Control for Canon and Nikon DSLRs. Becker demonstrates the simplicity of setting up the remote and establishing a connection between your camera and your iOS or Android smart device or computer. With the free app installed, you’ll have remote access to live view and camera settings such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, as well as touch focus and manual focus adjustment. In addition, Larry shows why the CamRanger offers more than most camera-integrated Wi-Fi systems. Large set bracketing, HDR bracketing, interval shooting, grid overlays, focus peaking, burst shooting, and focus during video recording are all supported. Image review offers numerous options and in Client mode, others can use their iPad or other device to see and rate your images in real time while you retain control over all camera settings  We hope you enjoy the video, and invite you to view the wide selection of other instructional and informative videos at B&H.com

Need a wifi on sonny a77

Unfortunately, we do not carry a product similar to the CamRanger that would be compatible with a Sony camera, such as the A77, nor am I aware of one on the market. The only option we carry that would be compatible would be the Eye-Fi cards.  They will transfer photos wirelessly, but won’t allow for remote control over the camera.

Wow, at first I thought this was just going to be another file transmitter, but the deep functionality found in the app makes me think again. It's hundreds cheaper than the Canon file transmitter, and is infinitely more versatile. I'll definitely be doing more research and considering picking one up for my 5D Mk II.

I can say it works rather well with my 5D m2. Some little quirks but all in all it is a fantastic product.

Larry! Good grief, if ever there was a doubt it is gone now. I must get the Cam Ranger. I MUST. This was a hell of a review. I like it because you gave me ideas and showed things I didn't know it could do. For Kelby1 members, go to the B&H site at Kelby1 for the discount. As of June 2014, I saw a price of $269.
