Aimed at the still photographer beginning to shoot video, Bob Krist uses articulate storytelling, a good sense of humor and a detailed outline to break down what you need to know to create an effective video. Technical details regarding ISO settings, frame rates and audio settings are covered, as is the grammar of shot selection and the salient points on how to tell a story with moving images compared to stills. Despite the wealth of information provided, Krist’s easy-going manner, straightforward style and exemplary work make it easy to digest some very helpful material. And as he points out early in his talk, “as still photographers we have the skills for video, we just don’t know it yet!”
