Daniel Cartamil, PhD, is a marine biologist and conservation photographer at the Scripps Institution of Oceanography. He has studied sharks since 1993 and worked as a fisheries biologist in Alaska, California, and Mexico. With an MFA in Photography/Film from VCU and a BS in Physiology from Penn State University, she currently teaches workshops and lectures on creative subjects around the country. She also freelances as a video editor, an Adjunct Professor, and heads a creative consultancy business to inspire and motivate clients to pursue and nurture a creative life.
