Anne Belmont’s passion for flower photography shows through her ethereal and magical photos. In this photography seminar, Anne will give a peek into her techniques: how she uses life experiences in her visual storytelling and how she takes risks and experiments. She will also cover how Lensbaby allowed her to create her abstract and fine art photos in-camera, as its lenses allow for a shallow depth of field. In this B&H Event Space video, traveler and photographer Enrique Aviles discusses his journey from beginning simply as a traveler, to his decision to pick up a camera and share with others the knowledge he gathers from life on the road. During his presentation, Aviles shares many practical tips, including the importance of making a list of where you are going and what you want to document, the benefits of waking up early, the discipline behind hunting for a picture, and how to challenge yourself physically, creatively, and socially in making different types of pictures. He sees documenting one’s travels as an opportunity to tell a personal tale, and a chance to write your own history. Most important, however, he stresses enjoying the process, being grateful for the ability to learn from a wide range of cultures and experiences, and using these experiences to enrich the lives of others.
