At B&H’s Optic 2019, photographer Lisa Langell talks about how and why we photograph, and she stresses that the most important part of your journey as a photographer is knowing the answer to the question, “Why do I photograph?” Langell reminds us that photography is not only transformative for the person taking the photo; a powerful image can have deep emotional impact on others, too. This is a great talk from a photographer who approaches her craft from psychological and technical perspectives. Imagine a camera that has a Zeiss zoom lens that covers extreme wide angle to telephoto, has a fast aperture, is excellent in low light, and is small enough to travel anywhere you might go- and performs exceptionally.
