Many video production and distribution settings require you to move your video and audio around different environments such as classrooms, conference rooms, and digital signage. Luckily, several new offerings from MuxLab make it easy to do so when you're working with HDMI cameras and devices with up to 4K resolution. MuxLab's new products include a 1x2 4K HDMI Splitter, an HDMI Extender Pair, a 5x1 4K HDMI Switcher, a 4K HDMI Audio Embedder, and a 4K HDMI Audio De-Embedder.
1x2 4K HDMI Splitter
The HDMI splitter allows you to distribute video signals from one source to two displays, making it handy for sharing video for digital signage or sharing camera output in a video village. It supports splitting up to UHD 4K30 video content with embedded audio. Other handy features include support for HDCP 1.3 protected content, HDR and deep color, and numerous audio formats including DTS, Dolby, and LPCM 7.1.
HDMI 4K Extender Pair Kit
Because HDMI functions over only short distances, you can extend your HDMI signal over Cat6 cable using an extender transmitter/receiver pair. The extender pair kit supports the extension of 4K30 video to up to 131' away and the extension of 1080p60 video up to 197' away. The kit can also transmit your IR signals over Cat 6 using the included IR emitter and sensor, and the transmitter provides a local HDMI loop output to monitor your transmission. The extender pair is also HDCP 1.4 compliant and supports up to Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, and PCM7.1 audio pass-through. The pair also supports power-over-cable (PoC) so you only need a power adapter for the receiver.
5x1 4K HDMI Switcher
If you need to view multiple images switched onto a single display, the compact 5x1 4K HDMI Switcher features five HDMI inputs and one HDMI output. You can input and output up to 4K60 resolution, it is HDCP 1.4 / 2.2 compliant, and it supports HDR to maintain rich color, shadow, and highlight detail. It can be controlled via the front panel buttons, or with the more convenient IR remote.
4K HDMI Audio Embedder and De-Embedder
The compact audio embedder inputs a video signal up to UHD 4K60 and allows you to insert audio into the HDMI output via an optical S/PDIF or a 3.5mm stereo jack. The de-embedder lets you do the opposite, extracting the audio from your HDMI input stream and sending it out to speakers or an audio mixer via optical S/PDIF or 3.5mm stereo for additional processing, while outputting the main video with embedded audio via HDMI. The embedder and de-embedder are also HDCP 2.2 compliant and support HDR video and Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD, PCM5.1, and analog audio.
