With the release of the modular DJI Ronin 4D cinema gimbal camera, the ability to add accessories for greater compatibility and functionality to your camera became even easier. B&H is happy to announce that DJI has just released three new accessories to add even more function to your Ronin 4D, including a LiDAR Ranger Finder (RS) to Transmission Cable Hub, a Three-Channel Follow Focus, and a Ronin 4D Expansion Plate.
LiDAR Range Finder (RS) to Transmission Cable Hub
Save time and cable-tangling with the Range Finder hub, a centralized routing box with four cable extensions that provide interconnection between multiple accessories to keep your rig neat and efficient. It features four cables for the LiDAR Range Finder (RS), the DJI Video Transmitter, the DJI Focus Motor, and a separate 12-17V D-Tap power supply. By interconnecting all these units, the hub enables communication with wireless monitoring and accurate focus control with lens calibration information while providing power. The USB-C connector can also provide additional connectivity with a DJI RS 3 Pro gimbal. The hub also comes with screws to mount it on your Ronin 4D or cage to keep your rig tidy.
Three-Channel Follow Focus
Now you can add lens control to the Ronin 4D using the new Three-Channel Follow Focus that controls more than just focus. The unit mounts on the separately available and required High-Bright Remote Monitor using the included Remote Monitor Holder and features a proprietary connector for native control of the Ronin 4D's Zenmuse X9 lens. The integrated focus wheel, slider, rocker, and buttons allow smooth, fine control over focus, aperture, zoom, and start/stop, respectively, and you can control autofocus and manual focus automation. Three marking rings are included to make your own markings on the focus wheel.
Ronin 4D Expansion Plate
Expand the connections and functions of your Ronin 4D using the new Expansion Plate, which provides multiple connections for added accessories. The compact plate mounts on the back of the Ronin 4D main body using a proprietary connector and three screws, and it features a BNC timecode port, a BNC SDI output, and two XLR inputs. Each XLR line/mic input also supports 48V phantom power for compatibility with a wide range of microphones and audio sources.
