"Anamorphic for All" is the goal of The Atlas Lens Co., and The Studio-B&H is proud now to offer the entire line of Atlas Lens Co. lenses to the filmmaking industry. The current Atlas lineup consists of eight Orion 2x T2 S35 primes, five Mercury 1.5x Full-Frame lenses, and the limited-edition set of six Silver Orion primes. Designed by cinematographers for cinematographers, these relatively affordable lenses are poised to bring an immersive anamorphic look to your footage. These well-regarded ARRI PL-mount lenses can also be adapted for Sony E-mount and Micro Four Thirds, making them suitable for use with a wide array of DSLR, mirrorless, and cine-style cameras.
Orion Series
Producing vintage anamorphic characteristics, the Atlas Lens Co. Orion series of 2x anamorphic primes features interchangeable PL/EF mounts, a fast T2 aperture, impressive bokeh, and high-quality optics. These Super35+ lenses provide full-frame coverage when used with an Atlas 1.6x or 1.4x LF Extender. Used on high-profile features like Babylon and Don’t Look Up, the Orion series produces a cinematic sense of depth, controlled flares, and subtly disproportionate breathing. The current Orion series includes 21, 25, 32, 40, 50, 65, 80, and 100mm T2 prime lenses. Large-format adapters come in 1.6x LF Extender PL to PL and PL to LPL options, plus a 1.4x PL to PL version.
Limited-Edition Silver Set
For a dynamic homage to the classic film era, check out the Orion Series Silver Edition 6-Lens Set. Created from a cache of reserved optics, the limited-edition ARRI PL-mount Silver primes feature unique focus falloff and expressive, chromatically refined flares that take on the color of your light source. The Silver Edition set consists of 32, 40, 50, 65, 80, and 100mm lenses, each capable of creating a distinct anamorphic aesthetic while retaining the dependable design of the standard Orion series.
Mercury Series
Choose the compact and lightweight Mercury Series 1.5x anamorphic lenses for native full-frame coverage, enhanced bokeh, and a buttery vintage look that is warmer than that of the Orion series. The ARRI PL-mount Mercury series includes 36, 42, 54, 72, and 95mm primes plus one telephoto focal length that’s still in the Atlas Lens Co. pipeline. Each Mercury lens provides the oval bokeh, barrel distortion, and shallow depth of field of the 2x anamorphic primes but in a housing that is noticeably smaller and lighter.
