AJA and Audinate have teamed up to create the ultimate Pro AV solution for any IP video workflow with the new Dante AV 4K Transmitter and Receiver signal converter units. Thanks to their modular design, you can combine various transmitters and receivers to cover spaces as small as a conference room or as large as a concert hall within a single 1 GigE network.
Dante AV Ultra delivers JPEG 2000 codecs and up to UHD 4K resolution via local network connection with less than a frame of latency. Pro-level audio and video products from brands like PTZOptics and Lumens already utilize Dante AV hardware, making these AJA converters a part of a much larger ecosystem of Dante-enabled devices.
The units themselves boast 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 connections, as well as Neutrik etherCon Ethernet ports, to facilitate connection to the Dante network. Simply plug an Ethernet cable into the units and connect your personal computer via the mini-USB port to set up your system. The transmitter encodes 12G-SDI and HDMI video into JPEG 2000, while the receiver decodes JPEG 2000 into 12G-SDI and HDMI video.
Their internal Dante hardware supports the encoding or decoding of 8-channel embedded audio from the 12G-SDI and HDMI connections up to 48 kHz. Additional USB-A ports allow for the integration of KVM peripheral accessories. Both units support various VESA standard display resolutions and feature an RS-422 serial connection. Route these video, audio, KVM, VISCA, and IR connections using the Windows and macOS compatible Dante Controller software.
Thanks to its low latency and modular design, the Dante AV 4K Signal Converters can be scaled up or down to suit your live event needs. Whether you’re streaming a webinar or a concert, the converters can easily integrate with your preexisting Dante-compatible products for one seamless ecosystem.
