Gamers are a tough bunch to shop for. They’re one of the few consumer groups that a) buys their own equipment almost exclusively; b) are very particular about what they buy; and c) enjoy comfort as much as they do gaming. Luckily for us, Spieltek understands the struggle is real for gamers, and they have developed a line of

On the other side is Sony’s next-generation console, the PlayStation 5 (PS5). Over the next few weeks, you’ll probably hear a lot about which of these is the better console, but not from us. We’re more concerned with which console is better for

It's quite rare for a game to come out without being hyped to the max these days. Games are usually teased with cryptic trailers, for years, or revealed at large gaming events like E3, but Respawn and EA just dropped Apex Legends with little to no fanfare. Released on February 4, 2019, this game seemingly came out of nowhere to surpass 25 million unique players and more than 2 million peak concurrent players in about a week. A new contender in the battle royale genre, Apex Legends is a refreshing take on the popular game type.

Like most people, I wasn’t in a huge rush to upgrade to a 4K TV. The resolution bump didn’t really feel the same as the standard to high-definition move. Plus, I didn’t really have any 4K content and my aging Samsung TV was handling my Full HD 1080p content just fine. However, that all changed when I scored an awesome deal in October, trading my launch-day OG Microsoft Xbox One for the more powerful 4K-capable Xbox One X. Then I waited until
Another toys-to-life experience isn't quite what many of us hand in mind when we came to E3, but when Ubisoft dropped the news that Star Fox was joining the cast of Starlink: Battle for Atlas on the Nintendo Switch version, I'm sure many heads turned to see exactly what this adventure was about. I was one of those people, curious about this upcoming space adventure where one of the most famous Nintendo characters will again be doing his signature barrel roll. Basically, it is an open-world space game where you traverse multiple planets and
While we were walking through the Sony booth, we were pulled into the FIFA 19 demo. Playing on PS4 and DualShock wireless controllers, we decided to team up against the AI since we were novice players. Jumping into a 10-minute match, we immediately noticed how tight the controls felt. Going for slide tackles quickly became one of our favorite things to do in the demo, but we became overzealous a few times and pulled a few yellow cards (and maybe one red card). Lobbing passes, hitting headers, and blasting shots on goal all felt great.

We came. We saw. And on the rare occasion we managed to conquer, at E3 2018. There were so many announcements and in-depth looks at the biggest games coming out this year, we figured we would give something of a recap of our favorite games from the show. Read on to find out what we thought brought the heat to LA this year.

After getting to the South Hall of the LA Convention Center early in the morning, I played the new Pokémon game after a relatively short wait (it was way worse in the afternoon). When I reached the front of the line, I was instructed to approach a docked Nintendo Switch and a TV where a Nintendo staff member was waiting. She explained that I was going to be playing Let's Go, Pikachu! (the version I would probably get) and I was also going to be using the new Poké Ball Plus controller.
If you have been wanting to shoot webs and swing through New York City, the latest Spider-Man, from Insomniac Games, is the best opportunity to take control of the superhero. At E3, Sony offered quite a sizable demo of the game, which makes sense considering it is one of Sony's major exclusives. It is another beautiful game that shows off the power of the PS4 Pro and does a great job of recreating the New York cityscape. Here is what I thought after seeing this preview.
I must say, it was super easy to pick up and play, with simple controls
