Connections

BRIDGE CAST connects to your Windows computer via its USB-C port. Support for Macs is expected in Q2 of 2023 and you can also connect to a PlayStation 5, although some audio formats aren’t supported in the PS5. The unit’s 32-bit floating point DSP processing takes care of all the audio chores, freeing up your computer’s resources for gaming and streaming duties. In addition to the USB port, the back panel also sports an XLR input ready to accept your favorite microphone. With 75 dB of gain on the preamp, there’s no need for any additional preamp, even if you’re using a dynamic mic with a low output level. Condenser mics are also no problem, simply engage the 48V phantom power and you’re good to go. If you prefer a headset, simply plug it into the 3.5mm headphone jack. You can switch between mic inputs using the app. In addition to the mic inputs, the stereo 3.5mm jack allows you to add another audio source, such as a mobile device or even a musical instrument. Use the 3.5mm line out jack to connect to your sound system or powered monitor speakers.

Intuitive Mixing

BRIDGE CAST is a dual bus mixer, so that allows you to have two completely independent mixes, one for you and one for your streaming audience. So, for example, if you prefer playing without music, you can set up a mix for yourself without it, while your audience gets treated to the full soundtrack. You’ll be able to set those mixes up quickly since the front panel offers individual volume knobs for the mic, aux, chat, and game levels, with Mute buttons located just below, and the accompanying app lets you reroute source signals to different knobs if you’d like. One button lets you toggle between your personal mix and the streaming mix, and a second button lets you link the two if you prefer. Individual volume controls for the stream, line out, and headphones are all within easy reach, so you can switch between using gaming speakers and headphones at a moment’s notice and have the levels already properly set to avoid an annoying volume mismatch while you’re playing.

Powerful Processing

If you’re looking to liven up your voice a bit for a special character or unique event, the Mic Effects button makes it easier than casting a spell. Engage it and you can choose between five different preset effects including reverb, pitch up/down, and formant effects to accessorize your avatar. The app lets you edit the effects settings and also allows you to tweak more subtle processing options such as compression, de-essing, noise suppression, and EQ. BRIDGE CAST offers game-specific EQ presets to hear critical elements, such as enemy footsteps in first-person shooters, which you can tailor to your liking. Once you find an ideal setting for a game title, simply save them in onboard profiles. A dedicated button engages the EQ quickly while playing, and you can page quickly through the five customized presets. You can personalize the look of the unit by adjusting the LED colors and creating a custom panel overlay with a logo or graphic that fully expresses your gaming persona.
