RØDE Announces NT1 Signature Series Edition of Iconic NT1 Studio Mic

One of the keys to greatness, I’ve been told, is the ability to refine and improve your performance continually, even when it seems you’re already at the top of your game. No doubt this is the spirt in which RØDE is introducing the NT1 Signature Series, the latest iteration of the astronomically popular workhorse studio condenser XLR microphone. This time, the mic offers some of the features and improvements introduced in the NT1 5th Generation USB/XLR version along with a variety of delightful color choices (coming soon).

From bedroom musicians and studio professionals to voice-over artists, podcasters, and streamers, the NT1 is revered for its silky smooth, transparent, and natural reproduction of vocals and instruments. With its extremely low self-noise and high SPL handling capabilities, the mic can be used on a wide range of sources, making it a terrific investment for home and project studios―a fact that millions of the mic’s satisfied users can readily confirm.

The NT1 Signature edition ditches the A/D converter and USB connection from the 5th Generation but brings that model’s redesigned analog circuitry to deliver improved performance, now with even lower self-noise of just 4 dBA, and higher SPL handling capability up to 142 SPL; that’s a 10 dB improvement over the original. Powered by 48V phantom power, it features RØDE's renowned HF6 1-inch true-condenser capsule, which delivers a smooth frequency response with rich bass, detailed midrange, and sparkling top end. The mic’s tight cardioid polar pattern helps to focus audio capture on the sound source, reducing distracting off-axis noise for clearer recordings.

Sporting a highly durable finish that’s built to resist scruffs and scratches, RØDE is introducing the NT1 Signature Series in the black finish that graced the 5th Gen version. Soon, however, it will be available in a slew of additional eye-catching hues including blue, green, red, pink, and purple―great for podcasters looking to up their visual game. It also comes equipped with a shockmount to isolate the mic from vibrations and handling noise, along with a detachable pop filter to eliminate plosives and vocal pops. RØDE even thoughtfully includes a 20' XLR cable so you can immediately connect to your preamp, interface, or mixer.

So, we hope this gives you some idea of the updates and improvements in the RØDE NT1 Signature Edition, the latest iteration of this versatile go-to studio staple for broadcasters, content creators, and musicians.
