Professional, small-camera audio production gets a big boost today with the announcement of the Lectrosonics DCHR Wireless Digital Camera Hop Receiver, a miniature camera-mountable stereo receiver that's the perfect companion to the company's DCHT transmitter. Wedded together, the pair form what Lectrosonics calls the Digital Camera Hop System—offering dependable, encrypted, stereo audio for production sound, sports video production, reality TV, and other applications.

The receiver is also compatible with the M2T unencrypted and M2T-X encrypted digital stereo transmitters, as well as the D2 Series mono digital transmitters, including the DBu, DHu, and DPR models, giving sound professionals a wide choice of transmitter options for serious location work where reliability is critical. The DCHR tunes across a wide 144 MHz UHF frequency range and employs advanced antenna diversity switching for seamless audio without dropouts or interference, while AES 256-CTR encryption ensures your transmissions are safe from prying ears.

The unit is easy to use, with a high-res, backlit LCD screen, membrane switches, and IR ports for syncing with transmitters in an instant. The receiver's TA5M audio output jack can be configured as two independent balanced mic-/line-level outputs or as a single two-channel AES3 digital output (a variety of adapter cables is available). For monitoring, the 3.5mm stereo headphone jack is powerful enough to provide plenty of volume for a wide variety of headphones and earphones, allowing you to hear clearly even in noisy environments.

Two included AA batteries will power the unit for up to 8 hours, or the optional LTBATELIM can be added for external DC powering. The receiver features rugged machined aluminum housing and a USB port for firmware updates. Removable AMJ antennas and a wire belt clip are also supplied. The LRSHOE kit (available separately) allows you to use the belt clip to mount the receiver to a camera's cold shoe.

The DCHR Wireless Digital Camera Hop Receiver is expected in stock in the fall of 2020. Give us a call or chat with us online if you have questions or would like additional information.
