Enter the B&H Fall Photo Challenge Sweepstakes!

Time flies and the seasons are changing… so get cracking and submit your most creative autumn pictures to the B&H Fall Photo Challenge. Following on the heels of two popular B&H Photo Challenge Sweepstakes that we ran earlier this year, we’re now inviting you to show us your best efforts across these seven autumn-inspired photo categories: Colors of Fall, Fall Textures, Natural Abstract, Fall Foods, Still Life, Warmth, and Fall Landscape. There are no entry fees, so it’s absolutely free to enter and win!

The When

All you need to do to enter is prepare your favorite fall photos in the categories described below and submit them during the entry period, from 10:00 a.m. EDT Sunday, September 13, 2020, through 11:59 p.m. EDT Saturday, September 19, 2020. You can submit one photo in each category (1 via each platform mentioned below and 1 email entry) up to a total of 4 entries. So, grab your camera and scroll through your hard drives—you have a week to send us your best work!

The Image Categories

1. Colors of Fall: Capture the warm fall hues around you.

2. Fall Textures: Crunchy leaves, warm cider, or the path ahead. Capture an image that you can feel.

3. Natural Abstract: Create an abstract image from natural elements.

4. Fall Foods: Show us your favorite flavors of the season.

5. Still Life: Create a still life showcasing elements of fall.

6. Warmth: Use natural light to warm up your photo.

7. Fall Landscape: Get outside and show us your favorite fall spaces.

The How

What is your favorite fall perk—capturing the changing colors, strolling down a leaf-strewn path, exploring abstract elements while on a nature hike, ingesting pumpkin-infused goodies, collecting pine cones and dried grasses, playing with lens flare in the soft autumn light, or seeking out beautiful landscapes in the great outdoors? Our seven subject categories allow plenty of room for visual exploration, so show us your view. This is a challenge, though, so think outside of the box to really impress us. Then do all your editing and get your images ready for submission using any of the following entry methods.

  • Twitter: Tweet your favorite fall photo using #BHPhotoChallenge and tag @bhphotovideo.
  • Facebook: Share a favorite fall photo using #BHPhotoChallenge and tag @bhphoto.
  • Instagram: Share a favorite fall photo as a post using #BHPhotoChallenge and tag @bhphoto (be careful here, because Instagram Stories will not be accepted).
  • Alternate: Email BHPhotoChallenge@bhphoto.com with your name, address, phone number, which category you are responding to, and a reference to “B&H Fall Photo Challenge Sweepstakes” in the subject field.

The Winner

When all is said and done, one grand-prize winner will be chosen at random on Monday, September 21, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. EDT. They will be notified via their method of entry at 12:00 p.m. EDT, on Monday, September 21, 2020.

The Prize

The grand prize is the impressive entry-level full-frame Nikon Z 5 Mirrorless Digital Camera with 24-50mm lens.

As explained in Explora’s news story on the Z5’s July 2020 release, “… the Z 5 is aimed at both Nikon newbies, as well as longtime FX shooters looking to go mirrorless.” When paired with the ultra-compact NIKKOR Z 24-50mm lens, “… the new offerings make an excellent everyday kit, perfect for capturing full-frame imagery while taking up minimal space in your bag.”

I was kind of hoping you would have put the dates in November, since fall, around here (DC area), hasn't even started yet.  Guess I'll be looking at last year's pics.

We unfortunately had to start early to avoid our upcoming holidays, but we are excited to see what everyone has to show!
