Welcome to B&H Night Photography Week! Running August 9-13, 2021 (with bonus sessions on August 23-24) across all of B&H's channels will be loads of new content and events focused on creating amazing night photos! You'll find inspiring presentations on how to master your camera after the sun sets and the stars come out.

Day One:

Night Sky Time-Lapse

Monday, August 9, 3:00 P.M. ET

Night sky time-lapse photography is awesome! In this lecture, David Marx (@davidmarxphoto) will first explain the fundamentals of night sky time-lapse photography, including how to shoot a sequence of images for time-lapse using any DSLR or advanced mirrorless camera body. Next, you will learn about the simple steps that are required to animate your stack of sequential starscape images using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic and Adobe Photoshop.

Shooting the Moon

Monday, August 9, 5:00 P.M. ET

Listen and learn about Andrei Duman’s (@dumanphotography) recent personal project at the Mount Wilson Observatory, using the Hubble Telescope, to capture photographs of the moon and stars. Working with their team, Duman attached a medium format camera to both their 60" and 100" telescopes to capture 150MP images of the moon in amazing high-resolution detail.

Day Two:

Tips for Gaining Comfort and Creativity in Night Photography

Tuesday, August 10, 3:00 P.M. ET

One of the top questions Gabriel Biderman (@ruinism) gets when at ​National Parks at Night workshops is, “How do you overcome your fear of the night?” He has seen many things go bump in the night and will shine a light and dispel the ghosts that might hold you back. Biderman’s tips will empower you with knowledge to not only make you a better night photographer, but get you excited to push yourself more with creative long exposures.

Natural Light Starscapes

Tuesday, August 10, 5:00 P.M. ET

Nightscapes, astronomy, and night photography are an ever-growing interest in the world of image making. In this class, photographer Kevin LeGore (@kl.light) will take an in-depth look at the NiSi Natural Night filters, their benefits and what specs you should pay attention to when looking for specialized night photography filters.

Day Three:

BTS with Astrophotography Equipment

Thursday, August 12, 5:00 P.M. ET

In this presentation, Matt Dieterich of PlaneWave Instruments will take you behind the scenes for a look into the astrophotography equipment the company produces for astrophotographers and astronomers around the world.

Death Valley: Desolation, Splendor, and How to Capture It

Monday, August 23, 5:00 P.M. ET

Travel with Gregory D’Agostino (@gregdag) to Death Valley—one of the most magnificent places on Earth. Known for its extreme heat, this 3,000 square mile National Park is unique by virtue of its contrasting and stunning terrain and variety of robust species. It is a photographer's dream location. D’Agostino will discuss his adventures in Death Valley, including his visits to remote locations, and offer helpful advice on how to prepare to visit and shoot in this desert environment.

Death Valley: How to Lightpaint

Tuesday, August 24, 4:00 P.M. ET

Nikon Ambassador Dave Black (@daveblackphoto) will be teaching and demonstrating the artistic lighting technique of lightpainting, which combines long exposure times with illumination from mobile light sources to create unique photographic images. This highly creative technique is applicable to every photographic genre and is the gateway to more styles of creative lighting. Black will teach you the step-by-step method and how you can achieve it from the comfort of your own home, and he will create several examples live during the session.

I have started out by doing Night Photography, in which are Shoot the Moon and Fireworks as a Class for City Arts both are taught by my Former Instructor name Douglas M. Robertson, CPP in my Hometown of Wichita, KS, USA including Digital Photography (Level 3,) indeed!!! Finally, I have also and already set my DSLR Camera on a Manual Mode (M) and along with Aperture (F-Stops,) ISO's and Shutter Speeds!!! Stay Blessed, indeed!!!
