     Excellent series, I learned a lot.  I have an observation about setting levels, tone, etc:  Anyone over the age of 40 or so (in my case well over) or anyone who spent much time in loud environments (e.g. rock concerts) is going to have some sort of hearing loss, particularly at high frequencies.  Going by what sounds good to you may be very far off "normal".  I learned this while introducing my grand daughters to opera music.  They absolutely hated it until I realized that I had set the equalization in the very good audio system in my car to compensate for my hearing profile.  When I reset everything to flat they loved it.  I don't have a good answer except to run the final version past a variety of people before final export.
