Introducing the Google Nest Hub Max

Coming soon to B&H, the Nest Hub Max is Google’s most recent virtual assistant-enabled display. Available in both chalk or charcoal, the Nest Hub Max takes the features of the original Nest Hub to new dimensions. Starting with the touchscreen, the Max upgrades from a 7" at 1024 x 600 resolution to a 10" display with 1280 x 800 resolution. The Max also adds a built-in 6.5MP camera with a 127° field of view and a physical switch that can disable both it and the microphones. The onboard speakers are also improved, from a single 1.57" full-range driver to a 2.95" woofer and dual 0.71" tweeters.

As part of the Nest family of products, the Nest Hub Max can integrate with your compatible home security system to display live or recorded video from your cameras. This enables you to check who’s at the door without getting off the couch; if it’s the delivery of an online order you’ve been waiting for, you can talk through the Nest Hub Max and your compatible camera to the delivery person, asking them to leave it at the door, so you don’t have to pause your movie. Conversely, you can use the onboard camera and microphone to see what’s happening at home while you’re away.

Of course, all this onboard hardware enables you to take part in video calls with loved ones with their own compatible equipment; you can also leave a video message for another member of the household that will only be playable by them, thanks to the Face Match feature, which recognizes specific users and displays notifications just for them. Each registered user also gets their own personalized home screen that shows their reminders, calendars, commute information, and more.

Powered by the Google Assistant, the Nest Hub Max provides control for any compatible smart device, including your TV, Blu-ray player, light bulbs, thermostats, and more. Live Album lets you view any photo from your Google Photos library on the screen and share them with friends and family without manual updates.

The Nest Hub Max also has an Ambient EQ feature that uses an onboard ambient light and color sensor to adjust the display to your room’s lighting and décor, enabling it to better blend into its environment and optimize the visibility of whatever is on the screen.
