Introducing the Bose® Home Speaker 300

The new Home Speaker 300 from Bose® launched on June 20, and they’ve packed a lot of features into its compact size. Available in triple black and luxe silver, the Home Speaker 300 features a 5.6 x 4" footprint and has Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant built-in for out-of-the-box voice control and smart interactivity when connected to your Wi-Fi network. The onboard six-microphone array is designed to pick up your voice even when playing loud music.

You can also control the speaker with the Bose® Music app from your smartphone or tablet or via the top-mounted capacitive touch panel. Additionally, the Bose® Music app allows you to connect the Home Speaker 300 to other compatible Bose® speakers throughout the house to play the same music in all areas, or have different music playing in separate rooms.

With smart home integration being built into more and more devices, privacy concerns are at an all-time high. Bose® addresses these concerns with a mute switch on a separate internal power circuit that cuts the power to the microphones to help prevent them from being activated remotely without your knowledge. Additionally, the front-mounted light bar lets you know if the speaker is listening to you, processing a question or request, or speaking to you.

Integrated Wi-Fi connectivity enables you to stream from a variety of online sources, including Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, Deezer, and more, and six preset buttons let you store your favorite channels. You can also pair your compatible device via Bluetooth or AirPlay 2, or plug in your favorite wired source via the 1/8" input jack.

Bose® is well known for its sound quality, and at the same time, for keeping detailed specifications close to the vest, leaning more heavily on how its products sound rather than how they should sound based on numbers. The Home Speaker 300 employs a down-firing full-range transducer and an acoustic deflector to produce 360-degree audio to help prevent acoustic “blind spots” in a room. Its ported cabinet helps provide enhanced bass.
