Nest recently released a brand-new battery-powered video doorbell that can be installed on any door or home. The wireless design lets you easily install it yourself. The doorbell lets you receive motion-activated alerts and can differentiate between people, animals, packages, and vehicles.
Available in white, ash, linen, and ivy, the doorbells capture 960 x 1280 resolution video from a 145-degree diagonal field of view to ensure that you get full visibility of the visitor at your doorstep. Additional features include up to 10' of night vision and HDR for 24/7 coverage, two-way audio via a built-in microphone and speaker with noise cancellation, and up to 3 hours of free event video history. Seamless integration with a Nest Hub or a TV with Chromecast will let you see who is at your door, while pairing the doorbell with a Nest Mini will let you hear a chime when the doorbell is pressed.
With a battery-powered installation, you'll receive notifications on your mobile device or your Google Assistant-enabled speakers when the doorbell is pressed. In addition to being battery powered, these video doorbells can be installed with existing doorbell wiring for power. Using the hardwired installation enables you to use existing wired chimes when the doorbell is pressed.
